Flexible multi-level drives built to last

Our medium voltage drives come in a wide power range and two main drive types: standard drives and AFE drives. These variable frequency drives provide complete air-forced or liquid-cooled cabinet solutions, supporting a wide range of motor types. With an integrated dry-type transformer, you can easily connect to any grid voltage up to 20 KV, regardless of motor voltage.

Each medium voltage drive is made up of power cells, and the innovative cell bypass function ensures you avoid downtime by automatically bypassing failed cells and continuing operation. With a generous grid power loss tolerance and many smart software features like flying start and synchronous switching, your operation remains smooth and reliable from start to finish.

Flexible motor and system support

Emotron’s medium voltage drives are designed to support a wide range of motors, including synchronous, asynchronous, and permanent magnet motors. Parallel control provides easy scalability for all required voltage and output powers. With a multi-bus module design, you get seamless communication through MODBUS, ProfiBus, Ethernet, and more—ensuring easy integration into your system.

Protection against harmonics and voltage loads

The low harmonics (>5%) of our medium voltage drives ensure optimal protection against harmonics and voltage loads, extending motor operating life and increasing system output.

Uninterrupted operation

Do not let a momentary interruption stop you. Our optional cell bypass function automatically bypasses failed cells, allowing the drive to keep running smoothly even with 1 or 2 failed cells. In addition, the drive tolerates grid power loss for up to 1000 ms, keeping your process going without interruption.

Efficient and smooth performance

Our drives are packed with smart software functions to ensure maximum efficiency. Features like flying start, auto-start release, synchronous switching, and torque amplification deliver smooth operation from the start.

Cost-effective design with built-in transformer

The built-in dry-type transformer allows connection to any specified grid voltage, independent of motor voltage. This feature reduces cabling costs and ensures a safe, oil-free environment. The multi-pulse drive seamlessly adapts the input voltage to the required output.

Customizable cooling options

Choose from air-forced or water-cooling options, built directly into the cabinet for optimal efficiency.
